Rotary Young Chef Competition 2016
On Thursday 1st December, the first round of Rotary's Young Chef competition was run at Steyning Grammar School.
The 15 entrants, from the Grammar School and also from The Towers school were given 2 hours to prepare a three-course meal.
The meals were then judged by Alex Boudot, head chef at the Crabtree restaurant in Lower Beeding, and Sarah McLoughlin of 'Let's Cook at Home'.
The standard of cooking and presentation was extremely high, eliciting some glowing comments from the judges, but after lengthy deliberation the winner was declared as Ellie Nicholson from The Towers school.
