Christmas Collections and Charity Events

Rotary Christmas News
The Rotary Club of Steyning & Henfield and The Rotary Club of Shoreham & Southwick jointly held a magnificent Carol Service at Lancing College Chapel in December where we were joined by The Band of the Salvation Army and soloist Rachel Shouksmith accompanied by her husband on the piano.
We are most grateful to all who contributed to the wonderful music and the collection of £436 which we donated to The Salvation Army as part of their charitable fund raising.
An Apology
We must sincerely apologise to those of you who missed our Christmas Street Collections this year. We know just how much you look forward to our Xmas collections and the Xmas carols in the street. Mark Streeter, who with his reindeer helps to pull our sleigh, was taken ill and rushed to hospital. He is much better now, but still recovering. We all in Rotary wish him a speedy and full recovery.
On those evenings where we managed to make street collections, and these together with our static collections at Rushfields Garden Centre, from where Colin Langridge so generously took charge of our sleigh, meant that we were able to raise over £1,361 all of which will be donated to local and International Charities.
We are deeply grateful to you all for your continuing support of Rotary at Christmas and beyond. Thank you.
Wishing you all a peaceful and happy New Year!
